Announcement: Enhanced Scheduling Flexibility in Sera!
We are excited to announce an important feature upgrade is now live and available in your Sera account! With today’s release, you now have the ability to schedule technicians from any department for jobs across all departments.
What It Means:
Starting today, technicians can be scheduled for services inside and outside of their primary department in Sera. This means that, for example, technicians assigned to work in the Plumbing department can now be scheduled for jobs in the HVAC department, and HVAC technicians can be assigned to plumbing jobs.
This new feature brings greater flexibility to the scheduling process, allowing Sera’s scheduler to assign the right technicians to the right jobs, regardless of their department. As a result, boosting efficiency in your daily work is easier than ever.

Cross-Department Scheduling in action!
Meet GreenTech Services, a company specializing in HVAC and electrical repairs. Previously, Sera’s scheduler would match technicians with jobs based solely on the technician’s department. HVAC technicians were only assigned to HVAC tasks, and electrical technicians were assigned to electrical work. This sometimes led to inefficiencies when there were urgent jobs in one department and available technicians in another, where a dispatcher would have to step in and manually assign those calls.
