Products
All products from any department will now be managed in Company --> Inventory. You can add, manage or remove products that are part of inventory or products that you choose to not track as a part of your inventory process.
The Products table in Inventory will filter automatically to display Products tracked as Inventory but you can use the toggle to display all products.
Adding New Products
To add a new Product, access Company --> Inventory and locate the Products tab. Select the + New Product button and enter the details in the slideout. The information entered can be updated in the future. Name of the Product, Vendor and Cost are the only required fields.
Note: If you wish to track this product in inventory, you will select the Enable Tracking checkbox and enter the current inventory level.
If you wish to add new products in bulk, follow the instructions above to Upload Products through a Vendor.
Product Details
To view details related to a product, select the Product name hyperlink.
Four sections are available in the Product Details:
General information - this has been manually entered by your Company and includes the Department of this product, the cost, SKU, Category, Vendor Product Name and the Vendor Name.
Inventory Locations - inventory detail for any locations where that product is being tracked. This includes the status, how many are available, ,on hold, on order, on hand and your set re-order point. To see specific details about that inventory tracked in a specific location, you can click the Location Name.
Recent Activity - a detailed activity log of changes that were made to the inventory tracking of this product. Transfers, restock orders, vendor product upload adjustments, etc will be tracked in this side panel.
Task Usage - the tasks in any department's pricebooks that use this product. You can manage that task or the department's pricebook in general by clicking the hyperlinks of the name. If you are changing vendors or if you need to replace this product out on these tasks, you can use the Replace Product button. This will replace this current product with whichever product that you select on all tasks listed in this section.
Editing Products
Clicking the Edit button within a Product will allow you to edit any of the main detail of the product as well as make updates to locations where inventory is tracked.
Note: if you need to make adjustments to inventory stock levels, we offer a Transfer, Adjustment, or Restock Order process depending on how the adjustment is being made within your Company.
If you no longer wish to track this product as a part of your inventory, you can uncheck the Enable tracking checkbox. Please keep in mind that if you currently have stock on-hand for this product in at least one location, you will receive a warning message that an adjustment will be made in your system to return that amount to 0 in that location. That will be listed on the Recent Activity log within the Product.
Adjust Stock
If you need to Adjust Stock on an individual warehouse for situations like loss, theft, etc. you can select the Adjust Stock option from the Actions menu.
Transfer Stock
If you need to Transfer Stock between warehouses you can select the Transfer Stock option from the Actions Menu. You can use this Transfer option to transfer products between one or multiple warehouses. To add another transfer, click the New Row button.
Deleting Product
If you are no longer intending to use this Product, you can select Delete from the Actions menu.
Category Management
All categories in any department are now managed in Company --> Inventory --> Products. You can add, edit or delete categories from the Manage Categories button.
Adding a New Category
To add a new Category to use in a department, select the New Category button and complete the detail in the slideout. Name is the only mandatory field. You can set up a hierarchy for your parts categorization by selecting a Parent Category to nest this new category under. Your Parent Category has to exist before you can assign it to any other categories.
Editing a Category
To edit a Category, select the Edit option from the three dots menu in the far right-hand side of the Category row. Complete the details in the slideout and select the Save button.
Deleting a Category
To delete a Category, select the Delete option from the three dots menu in the far right-hand side of the Category row.
