***This feature is currently under development and will be released soon.***
Locations
Your first step in using Sera's inventory feature will be to create a default location for your inventory. You will need at least one location in order to track inventory. If you wish to use multiple locations to track products in different physical locations, such as separate warehouses, or technician vans, you can create those to separate your inventory at any time.
Adding New Locations
To add a new location, you will access Company --> Inventory and select the Locations tab from the table. You will manage your existing locations here as well. Select the + New Location button and enter the details in the slideout. The information entered can be updated in the future.
Name - how you will see this location referenced in Sera
Type - Warehouse, Vehicle, or Other
Description - additional details about the type
Notification Settings
Low Stock - enable or disable the notifications if the stock level in this warehouse for a product reaches the set re-order point within the product
Out of Stock - enable or disable the notifications if the stock level in this warehouse for a product reaches 0
Editing Location detail
To view detail about your inventory location(s), you will access Company --> Inventory. You will see a list of active locations under the Locations header. You can view any archived locations as well by using the Active/All toggle. If you need to view the detail of that Location you can select Edit from the three dots menu on the right-hand side of the row. You will see the location detail and be able to edit any of the items.
Archiving Locations
To archive a location that is no longer needed as a part of your inventory process, access the Locations header under Company --> Inventory and select Archive from the three dots menu on the right-hand side of the location that you wish to no longer use. Please keep in mind that you will not be able to archive your default inventory location. Should you wish to archive the default, you will need to select a new default location first before proceeding to archive.
Note: It is strongly advised that you transfer any inventory tracked in this location to another location before archiving. All products tracked in this archived location will be removed from your inventory. There is a warning message that will appear reminding you of this when you attempt to archive a location with tracked inventory. If you get the warning message, you can close it and click the Location name to see any products that have inventory still tracked that need to be transferred.
