In Sera, everyone is automatically charged membership pricing by default. This is intentional.
The philosophy is that every single customer who is not a member should have a membership added to their quote. That way, their membership revenue is added to your Annual Recurring Revenue and that customer becomes sticky; instead of making an extra 15% on a ticket, you're locking them in for a future repair or replacement that will be much more. There are two reasons why we show membership pricing to everyone:
- A customer is already a member, and they should receive membership pricing
- If a customer is not already a member, the technician should add a membership to the quote, and they should receive membership pricing.
If a customer views the membership and savings and decides they don't want the membership, the technician can change the pricing model to Nonmember and you get an extra 15% on that ticket.
Whichever option the customer chooses, having everyone "receive" membership pricing first is the goal so you can sell more memberships and own your backyard.
