Sera sends notifications to your customers on your behalf. If you want to turn off customer notifications, you can do so by turning off communications at a company level or on a customer level. For more info on that, click here.
Your customers will get notified when:
- A customer account has been created
- A customer has forgotten their password
- An appointment is first booked
- An appointment is rescheduled
- A customer inspection has been scheduled
- A quote has been emailed to a customer
- A technician is on the way
- A payment has been made on an invoice.
These notifications are set by the system and the wording on them cannot be changed unless otherwise noted. Scroll down to see what the notifications look like!
Customer Account Created
When a customer has been created in your system, they will receive an email to finish setting up their account. They can set the password they can use to access their customer portal. Every email will have a link to set their password until it is set. After they have done that, there will be a link to log into their portal. This information is generated by the system and cannot be changed.
Customer Forgot Password
If a customer has forgotten their portal password, they can request a password reset email. Admin can also send a password reset on the customer's profile. This information is generated by the system and cannot be changed.
Appointment Booked Notification
Customers receive an email when an appointment is booked. You can see a preview of it by going to Company ---> Customizations and viewing the Email Preview. You are able to change the Appointment Email Message and Time Slot Disclaimer in this email, everything else is generated by the system. An example is shown below.
Appointment Rescheduled
When an appointment is rescheduled, your customer receives an email. You are able to change the Appointment Email Message and Time Slot Disclaimer in this email, everything else is generated by the system.
Inspection Scheduled
Once an inspection has been scheduled by the office, the customer will receive a notification. This information is generated by the system and cannot be changed.
Quote Emailed to Customer
Either the technician or an admin can send a quote to a customer. This information is generated by the system and cannot be changed.
A technician is on the way
Customers receive both an email and a text when a technician is on the way! The information is shown below. This information is generated by the system and cannot be changed. Customers also receive a text message with a magic link to their appointment information.
Payment Made on an Invoice
When a payment is made on an invoice, an updated invoice is sent to the customer. Admins who accept external payments in the system can choose to not notify the customer. Every other payment method will always email the customer with an updated invoice. This information is generated by the system and cannot be changed.
Technician Bios - Only Avaliable with pulseM
If you have chosen to integrate with pulseM, pulseM will send a technician bio when an appointment is booked. The bio includes a picture and information about the technican.
Review Requests - Only Avaliable with pulseM
If you have chosen to integrate with pulseM, pulseM will send a review request when an appointment is finished called a pulse check.
