Appointments must be in a Pending status in order to be cancelled.
Most of the time when an Admin would need to cancel an appointment, the appointment status is still Pending because the appointment hasn't yet been attended. If the appointment has already been accepted or is currently running, an Admin will have to roll back the statuses in the Edit Appointment window.
If the appointment is in a Pending status, you cancel the appointment from the Dispatch Board by clicking the appointment, selecting Cancel Appointment from the small box that appears and selecting Cancel Appointment from the pop-up window. As a confirmation, you will enter a reason for canceling and select Cancel Appointment.
If your appointment is in a status other than Pending, you can update the status of that appointment from the Dispatch Board by clicking the appointment, selecting either the option for Cancel Appointment or Edit Appointment button(s).

You will roll the status back to the one before it until you get to Pending by selecting the new status from the dropdown and entering a Reason for the status change for audit purposes. Once you get to Pending the Cancel Appointment button will appear in the lower left-hand corner of the window.
