Bluon, home of the largest HVAC community on earth, supports HVAC contractors, and their technicians in the field, while connecting them with their local brick-and-mortar distributors increasing their quality of life, productivity, and bottom line. With Bluon, techs finally have a single source that is brand-agnostic for community interaction, equipment documentation, live 24/7 tech support, and for acquiring parts and materials from their local distributors. Bluon provides the first data and transactional throughline from OEM to distributor to contractor to technician, providing material value to each. With our integration, getting information about specific parts and model numbers is incredibly easy.
First, the Bluon Integration needs to be enabled in the Marketplace. No Bluon account is required.
After enabling the integration, click on Set Up Information to toggle Bluon capabilities for specific departments.
The final step to enable the Bluon integration is to enable it as a technician on the Sera Tech App. Click on the three-line menu on the top left in the Tech App (the hamburger menu), click on My Profile, and enable the integration at the bottom of the profile.
Note: This option will not be available if an admin has not activated the integration in the Sera Admin Portal. Activate the integration in the Sera Admin Portal and toggle Bluon capabilities for the specific department.
Once the integration is enabled, the technician will be able to look up specific pieces of equipment in Bluon's database. While running a job, click on the Job Summary. Click on Equipment Action, and + Add Equipment
Choose the Equipment Type and Name the equipment. Enter the Model Number of the component needed. Three characters are required before a search commences.
Select the correct component from the list. Continue typing the model number to further narrow your search, if necessary.
If unable to find the equipment requested, use the button at the bottom of the search to Go to the Bluon App. If the Bluon app is downloaded on the iPad, your search will continue on the Bluon app. If the Bluon app is not downloaded on the iPad, an opportunity to download the Bluon app from the App Store will appear.
After the components have been linked with Bluon's database, use the Need Help? link to open up the Bluon app and see manuals, get support, and check availability for parts.
Our Bluon integration enables technicians to link equipment data with Bluon's database. Bluon's resources will be at the tech's fingertips!
