One of the key metrics that your Sera account will report on is Revenue, in dollars. This revenue number will include finalized revenue only, i.e. invoices that have a Work Completed signature or a manual signature override from the Admin Portal. This will ensure that the revenue number reported is actual earned revenue and not hypothetical revenue from approved quotes without physical work being completed.
The Pending Revenue report will present to you the data on the hypothetical revenue where the quote is approved but the Work Completed signature is missing and there is no manual override from the Admin Portal. This will give you a glimpse into the expected revenue that you have currently in flight.
The Pending Revenue report is found in the Accounting section of your Report Center and will contain the invoice number, customer information including billing address, job information including number, the date of the last appointment, the opportunity owner, department and class and the current expected revenue number and current balance on the invoice. The option is there to sort by invoices that have jobs if you would like to see those invoices separately and you can download the information to Excel if you would like to see it in that format.
Another added benefit to the Pending Revenue report is to be able to see invoices where the Work Completed signature was just missed by your technicians. This "hidden" revenue can be corrected from this report and allocated to the proper earned time period.
If you find an invoice that is not currently in flight and the Work Completed signature was just missed, you will click the Invoice number to access the invoice. You will then want to select Approve Invoice from the Invoice Actions dropdown menu to perform a manual override of the Work Completed signature. This will now ensure that these dollars count towards your revenue numbers. If you need to backdate the invoice to the date that the revenue was earned, you will select Edit Invoice Date from the Invoice Actions menu. This will allocate those revenue dollars to the appropriate time period.
This invoice will now be present on the next batch file generated from your account.
Note: A system update was made 11/4/2024 to track Last Emailed Date. Emails for invoices prior to that date will not be reflected in the report.
