All refunds in Sera are processed through the invoice, using the invoice Actions menu.
Locate your Invoice using either the Revenue report under your Accounting menu or by accessing the Invoice through the customer's record in Customer Service.
Once you are looking at the invoice, click the Invoice Actions button and select Issue Refund.
This will open a refund pop up box. Select the type of refund that you would like to enter (if applicable), enter the refund amount, add your refund notes and select Submit Refund.
Hint: Credit Card and ACH transactions will have to be settled before they are able to be partially refunded. Until the payment is settled, you will only be able to void the payment completely and re-charge the customer for the corrected amount.
*Note - If Issuing this refund has left an overpayment on your invoice, you may need to adjust the quote to correct your invoice. Click HERE for instructions on how to complete this action.
