When your customer is presented a quote and they choose not to proceed with the quote at this time you are left with a couple of options on what to do with that quote. Should you archive it or decline it.
The answer lies in what you need to do with this quote going forward.
When your customer is presented with a quote and they do not want to proceed with that work, or they would like to do this at a later date you should Decline that quote.
This leaves the quote available to the customer and to your techs and admins to revisit the posssiblity of doing this work at a later date.
If the quote is no longer applicable, because the customer chose to do an upgraded version of this quote (for instance you gave the option to repair or replace and they chose to replace), you would want to Archive this quote. By archiving you are stating that this is work that is no longer applicable or needed for this customer).
An archived quote can be unarchived in the future by an Admin or Super if needed.
To Unarchive a quote you will change the toggle on the quotes Report or on the Quotes on the customer account to All, then use the 3 dot action menu to Unarchive.
