Changing Invoice Dates | Address Capture Update | Bug Fixes
Changing Invoice Dates
Admin Portal users are now able to adjust invoice dates! Invoices will now have two separate dates - the date the signature is accepted, and/or the work is marked as completed, and the date of the invoice. Admins can now change the Invoice Date for completed invoices (including jobless, canceled and credit memos) within the invoice screen using the Invoice Actions button.
Changing the Invoice Date will require a reason to be recorded.
An automated note is added to the customer’s account and job (if applicable) with the details. This note can be seen by using the All selection within the Notes section.
If the invoice has not yet been part of a batch, the updated Invoice Date will transfer over as a part of the next batch. If the invoice has been batched already, the user will be presented with a message that the Invoice Date should be updated manually within Sera AND your accounting software program.
Note:
To mirror a common accounting program rule, Sera will require the date on the invoice to be the same or earlier than any corresponding credit memos.
Address Capture Update
Admin Portal users can now create customer addresses that are not Google verified. Previously a customer account could not be created if the address was not verified by Google, resulting in delays in creating the customer account, workarounds and extra steps being required by office admin staff.
We have now created a new feature within the address entry flow where, if a non-Google verified address is used, a map will display which will allow you to place a pin where you would like to direct the technician.
This is especially helpful in rural areas or areas of new construction where the address might not be found or established. If the pin is not initially placed in the proper location, it can be adjusted at any time. The map can be shifted and the pin can be moved to another location, or the address search can be completed again which will reset the map without the previous pin, if necessary. Pinning the map at the closest spot will ensure that the technician has success finding the given address as the app will now geo-locate to that manually placed pin.
A special icon will display on the address card if a pin is used instead of the Google verified address.
By clicking Edit on the address card, the map of the pinned location will display which will allow for visibility and update, if necessary.
