Once a technician has arrived at the appointment, the technician will be able to create a quote. If the technician has not arrived yet, they will be unable to access Quotes; it will be grayed out and inaccessible.
Tap on the Quotes tab at the bottom of the screen
To add a new quote, Tap on + New Quote
Add the 'Name' and 'Summary'. We recommend naming the quotes with a quoting strategy, like 'Good' 'Better' and 'Best'.
Technicians do not have the ability to change the prices of items in the pricebook in the field; all changes need to be made by an admin in the office. If technicians needed more flexibility with pricing, we recommend adding Promo Codes OR building additional tasks to fit your needs as a business.
Quotes that are created are in Draft status until the tech is ready to present them. Once the quotes have been created, tap the three dots on the right side of the specific quote you would like to present. Select propose to move the quote into an open status.
Once the quote is moved into the open status you can tap present to show the customer. Tap on the quote to get a breakdown of the quote and the price for each service/part.
To accept a quote hit the thumbs-up button next to the quote and collect a signature. Alternatively, the technician can collect a signature on the bottom of a proposed quote.
